Yankee Human Resource Management ? what do you think ?

Q. Yankee Human Resource Management ? what do you think ? Some people believe property is equivalent to liberty. Some people, in fact, think everythign is property, and this kind of thinking knows no limits. Ultimately, people, each of us, is also property, not a citizen or a Man or a Woman, but a 'Human Resource' to be managed as coldly as any other property. This wouldn't be such a big deal, except that the people who think this way own the whole world. In todays New York times there was an article about our friends in the CIA, you know, the CIA, those guys who "helped" those heroic democratic patriots the contras 'restore democracy' to Nicaragua? The ones who helped oust the 'dictator' Allende and restore 'democracy' in Chile? Yeah! The friends of the people, the friends of liberty, Them! Well, it seems those well meaning angels of mercy wrote some interesting literature, some of which was revealed this week due to a Freedom of Information Act Request filed by the Baltimore Sun. The poets over at CIA were writing text books on how to torture people, for use by the 'democratic' Landlords and henchmen of Landlords in five Latin American countries, including El Salvador Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, and Argentina. This manual, which CIA called a "Human Resource Management" manual, was discontinued in 1985 due to bad publicity, was a relatiove soft sell as it only detailed techniques of 'mental torture' such as starvation, sleep deprivation, solitary confinement and "unberable anxiety and other forms of pschological duress" including making people crap and piss on themselves. But the article mentioned another manual printed in 1984 specifically for the contras, and I quote, "At about the same time, in October 1984, the agency was embarrassed by public disclosure of another CIA training manual that advised the Nicaraguan contras on how to kidnap and kill leftist officials, blackmail citizens and destroy villages." But I guess they were just doing their duty to save Texas from the invading Sandanista hordes, right? Like Kissinger said re Allende, "why should we let a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of their own people" why indeeed! Kill 'em until they learn ... KKKapital knows best!

A. -For those who missed the Baltimore Sun article, here is a repost from alt.politics.org.cia (among other -While every law restricts individual freedom to some extent by altering the means which people may use in the persuit(sic) of their aims, under the Rule of Law the government is prevented from stultifying individual efforts by ad hoc action. Within the known rules of the game the individual is free to persue(sic) his personal ends and desires, certain that the powers of government will not be used deliberately to frustrate his efforts.
